Hi.
I just compiled the Restrained Life viewer for the Mac (universal binary).

What is new?

• Regarding the RLv features, please refer to the Blog of Marine Kelley.
• Regarding the Mac, read on:
  I did something aginst the graphics issues.
  Graphics should be fine by now.

At the usual place hopefully soon.
Until it is available there, feel free to download it at Rapidshare.

New MoPlugins supporting the new features should be out soon.
Though, I am pretty busy creating my new main shop.

Bondage Banned from Second Life?

Hi out there.
I just got a notice from Lorelei Mission:

SL new Classifieds are now blocking the word BONDAGE -- because sL's ad system thinks it's the word AGEPLAY!
If anyone knows a Linden personally, please get the word to someone in charge asap! Because if I have to file a jira to fix this, it'll take forever!
I tried to run a new classified tonight and 8 times the system blocked it, claiming I was trying to use the word AGEPLAY... then when I spelled BONDAGE as BOND@GE, sL approved the ad. WTF!

That makes me a bit of concerned, and I just wrote a mail to Linden Lab asking, if they really going to ban Bondage:

Greetings.

I just bought a quater sim and am thinking about buying a whole one or even more.

Now I notice, that you block classifieds, using the word 'bondage'.

I fashion clothes and wearables that are very appreciated by people interested in bondage.

Before I plan further expansion of my business, I would like to know if you are going to ban bondage and BDSM at all. (And I wonder if you know, what that means - both, the topic, and baning it)

I am not planing to become age verified and I really appreciate to stay anonnymous in SL.


So, please tell me your further plans about regulating and controlling the people of second life, especially concerning BDSM.

I just forgot to tell you, that the Rings of O now also are equipped with the Adjust Design plugin.

New Product: Garter Leash Holder

You know these not very stylish leashholders available everywhere to take your pet by the leash, holding in your hand (and not your pelvis (outsh)).

To hold the leash in an approperiate manner, I offer leash holder rings already for quite some time. - By the way, I updated them lately with a Adjust Design plugin. -


But even with the ring, your hand still is occupied. Due to SL restrictions, it is hard to wear the leash ring and the whip in the same hand.

Now, there is something you can do: Keep your pets leashed and your hands free for more important things using a Garter Belt Leash Holder.

Like the rings it is compatible with most SL leashes.
And like MoDesign products it comes with a nice list of handy features working in the background.

New Product: MoMemento

A Memento is a keepsake or souvenir of remembrance.
- Some call the MoMemento also a brainwasher -

The MoMemento is a triskle that is worn at the forehead. It is lockable with the latest generation of MoLock, of course. So it is undetachable if you use the Restrained Live viewer. A new feature of the new MoLock is the posibility to configure up to 6 Second Owners.

The MoMemento will prevent the wearer form speaking in chat and IM, as well as it prevents to teleport. That restriction can be unlocked for one line in chat or some seconds to IM or to teleport by saying a defined mantra - a sentance of remembrance. That sentance is configurable for all 3 restrictions and will be shown to the wearer very regulary.

Example of Use
Set the mantra: 'My beloved Master, may this girl be allowed to teleport?' and tie it to the teleport restriction. Every time your pet wants to teleport she will ask you for permission and you will greatfully agree.

New Product: Signet Ring of Submission

I added the scripts of the Restrained Life and the latest MoLock to the Signet Ring of O, turning it into a real Signet Ring of Submission.

I discontinued the various Singnet Rings of O and replaced them by a single ring that includes all the designs of the discontinued rings, at your hands with a click of the mouse.

A Designers Lonely Day

I spent most of the day at my design plattform.
I redesigned my rings, added a Adjust Design plugin and the latest MoLock, with support for Second owners.
In Addition, I did a version Ring of Submission, by adding the Restrained Live set.

The adjust Design Plugin will reduce varity at my vendors and give you the chance to change the design.

I could not work any further on the release for the next version of the Chaste dress, for I still wear a locked one.

But I almost finished what I call MoMemento and I Gimped the vendor signs for that and the update of the rings.

Enhance graphics with the Restrained Life viewer (Mac)

Hi.

If you use the Restrained Life viewer on the Mac, you might suffer some graphics issues from time to time.

Some suffer more, some suffer less, I suffer most. - At least my personal impression.

So why is this, and is there anything to do about it?
Well the answer to the second question is: yes.
But let me answer the why first:

Why are there graphics issues?
The original viewer, provided by Linden Lab uses a commercial graphics library. The graphics library is the part of the software, responsible to print all the graphics on your screen.
Due to licencing, the open source viewer does not support this commercial graphics library. It uses a open source library. And this is the point. That library has some issues not solved yet. If you use it, you might see the issues in your graphics :-(

Is there something I can do?
There is. Downlad the original viewer corresponding to your Restrained Life viewer version. Open the content of the application and browse for Contents/Resources/libllkdu.dylib and copy that libllkdu.dylib to the same location into your Restrained Life application.

Is it better now?
Usually yes. I know people having no issues any more, after they did that. Unfortunately I myself still suffer quite some issues, like bad texture loading. As I told you, I suffer most.
